Day 1:

Welcome to Lapland

Your family vacation starts at Rovaniemi Airport, where you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel. In the evening you will be taken by car to a reindeer farm for a memorable reindeer sleigh ride. This traditional mode of Lappish travel is a unique experience – and you may even see the northern lights dance in the sky!* At the farm you will enjoy a hot beverage and light snack around a campfire and learn about the life of reindeer herders before returning to Rovaniemi.

*Please note that the northern lights are a natural phenomenon, so sightings cannot be guaranteed.

Day 2:

Thursday ZAGREB–PLITVICE

Morning city tour of Zagreb, including the fortified Upper Town, the city's historical center, St. Mark's Church with its multicolored roof, the Cathedral,the Croatian National Theatre and the University. After the city tour drive to Plitvice, tour the Plitvice Lakes National Park on the UNESCO’s List of World Natural Heritage. Sixteen lakes, each at a different level, are joined in a series of cascading waterfalls. Surrounded by dense wood Plitvice Lakes are a natural phenomenon of a rare and unique beauty. Dinner and overnight in Plitvice.

Day 3:

Arctic Animals at the World’s Northernmost Zoo

This day tour gives you a chance to observe Arctic wildlife in their natural surroundings at the Ranua Wildlife Park, the northernmost zoo in the world! Arrive by car to the park, located about 80 km from Rovaniemi, and enjoy a refreshing walk outside to see the animals—about 60 species of Arctic and northern wild animals such as bears (including the only polar bears in Finland), lynx, wolf, wolverine, moose, and many more.

After lunch at a cosy restaurant, it’s time for sweet treats! We still make a stop at the Fazer Candy Store where you can buy some Finnish-made candies before heading back to town.

Day 4:

Snowmobiles, Reindeer and Santa Claus Village:

The day’s adventures begin with a guided snowmobile safari to a reindeer farm where you will hear more about reindeer husbandry and Lappish culture. You can take a reindeer ride and attend a special Lapp ceremony of crossing the Arctic Circle.

In the afternoon the trip continues by car to Santa Claus Village with time to do shopping in Santa Claus’ Village. You will also have an opportunity to send postcards from Santa Claus’ main post office. During the day you get to meet Santa Claus himself and enjoy a delicious lunch in a cozy restaurant. And you will get a Diploma for crossing the Arctic Circle!

Day 5:

Departure

Today you and your family will be transferred back to Rovaniemi Airport for your departure flight.

Day 6:

Monday MAKARSKA–KORČULA

We depart for the island of Korčula after breakfast, with a stop along the way to swim, cool off and relax, if weather permits, with lunch on board. In the late afternoon we arrive at Korčula, the most preserved medieval town whose street design is based on a fish bone pattern, to spend the night.

Day 7:

Tuesday KORČULA–DUBROVNIK

In the morning we start sailing to Dubrovnik, stopping on the way for a swim, if weather permits. Lunch is on board, and in the afternoon we arrive in UNESCO World Heritage listed Dubrovnik – “Pearl of the Adriatic”. We will spend the night in Dubrovnik.

Day 8:

Wednesday DUBROVNIK–MLJET

Departing from Dubrovnik in the morning, our sail to Mljet Island includes a stop for swimming, if weather permits, and lunch on board. Croatian “Greenes Island” will hypnotize you with its beautiful, untouched nature and its cultural heritage. We arrive in the heart of National Park – if you want to visit it, you’ll just walk to the entrance where you can purchasethe ticket to walk around the Great Lake and the Small Lake and join the boat ride to St.Mary Island. We will spend the night in Mljet.

Day 9:

Thursday MLJET–HVAR

In the morning we continue our adventure by sailing to the island of Hvar, the sunniest island. We stop along the way for a relaxing swim in one of the secluded coves on Pelješac peninsula (weather permitting). Lunch on board and in the afternoon we arrive in the town of Hvar. Apart from its unique cultural heritage, Hvar is celebrated destination for singles and families, sailboats and super-yachts. With its sunny climate, natural beauty, excellent food, wine and sports offer, Hvar has it all and that’s why it became so popular and wanted during summer time. Enjoy the evening here.

Day 10:

Friday HVAR–SPLIT

In the morning we depart for Split, stopping along the way for a relaxing swim at Bobovišća bay on Brač Island, if weather permits. After lunch on board, we will spend the evening in Split.

Day 11:

Saturday SPLIT–Departure

We disembark after breakfast.
